Wandelbots NOVA provides you with virtual controllers for path planning, app development and simulation purposes.

Virtual controllers

You can start the virtual controller setup in the settings of your NOVA instance.

The setup instructions will guide you through the process of:

  1. Selecting your robot type.
  2. Choosing the manufacturer and model.
  3. Configuring TCPs.

Connect controllers to Wandelbots NOVA

You can also connect your ABB, FANUC, KUKA, UR or Yaskawa robots to Wandelbots NOVA. This allows you to run your applications on real robots and test them in a real-world environment.

Be sure to check out the safety requirements and cell designs before you start setting up your robot.

The setup instructions are tailored to the supported brands but all respect the following structure:

  1. Supported models of the brand,
  2. Preparing the robot for the connection with Wandelbots NOVA including controller requirements,
  3. Physically connecting the IPC to the robot controller,
  4. Configuring the IPC to establish communication with the robot controller,
  5. Troubleshooting common issues that may arise during the setup process,
  6. Connect your controller via the settings of your NOVA instance.
