Set up Wandelbots NOVA
Your Wandelbots NOVA instance provides you with a multitude of options to manage cells, write robot programs and simulate physical cells. To benefit from all features, you need to include your Wandelbots NOVA instance within the robot cell and add robots in the Wandelbots NOVA Setup.
License
Wandelbots NOVA requires a license to use the software. The license is bound to the user and the user's organization. The different license plans provide access to a set amount of configurable robots until a certain date.
Licenses are necessary to use Wandelbots NOVA. Without a license, you'll still be able to install and access Wandelbots NOVA, but won't be able to use virtual robot controllers or connect your robots to Wandelbots NOVA.

Supported cell designs
Connecting controllers and periphery with Wandelbots NOVA means to include Wandelbots NOVA into the physical robot environment.
This requires
- Learning which cell designs support Wandelbots NOVA,
- Verifying that the cell components you're using are supported by Wandelbots NOVA,
- Understanding the cell architecture and how the different components are connected.
Set up controller on Wandelbots NOVA
Wandelbots NOVA supports virtual and physical controllers for path planning, app development and simulation purposes.
Setup instructions for both controller types differ based on the robot brand and model, meaning you'll have to choose which robot brand you want to use to access the correct setup instructions.
For virtual controllers, the setup instructions will guide you through the process of adding a virtual controller in the Wandelbots NOVA Setup. For physical controllers, the setup instructions will guide you through the process of preparing the controller environment, connecting the IPC to the robot controller and configuring the IPC to establish communication with the robot controller.
