25.4 - April 2025

No pranks, just progress. April may be fooling, but the Wandelbots NOVA release 25.4 is the real deal.

What's new?

New settings

New release, new settings! The settings app is not only dressed in other colors but also has additional features. You can now manage your cells, add description to your cells and use quaternion to add a TCP to your virtual robot.

Created cells and robots will not be deleted when updating to Wandelbots NOVA 25.4.

  • IRB 4600 2.55/40

FANUC

  • Arc Mate 120iD/12L

KUKA

  • KR 12 R1810-2

What's better?

  • When adding a KUKA, hover on KLI and RSI IP address fields to display explanations on how to find the IP address.
  • When updating to another version of Wandelbots NOVA, the update progress is now displayed in the settings app.
  • When moving the robot to a pose in the pose list via Move to, the robot moves with the velocity set with the velocity slider.
  • The model of FANUC Arc Mate 120iD/12L has been updated.
  • The default Wandelscript is now tailored to the selected motion group by embedding the robot's home pose for consistent execution and linking the open program set to the motion group, ensuring the script runs out of the box without manual controller or motion group ID configuration.

Bug fixes

  • The login to Wandelbots NOVA cloud instances using the TypeScript app template (available via GitHub and NOVA CLI) no longer requires an access token in the env.local file.
  • Apps like Robot Pad will no longer temporarily show errors right after starting instances.
  • After the update, the licensing backend was not ready which caused the user to see a "No license found" dialog. This fix will redirect to waiting screen until the licensing backend is ready.

Under investigation

  • Yaskawa robots are temporarily only supported for development use as long term operations (less than 2 hours) cannot be ensured.
